As a Howard University undergraduate, Dr. Boyd finished his degree at the top of his class in just three years.  Then Dr. Boyd graduated from Harvard Medical School and performed his residency and sub-specialty training in Facial Plastic Surgery at the University of Michigan Health System.  He also earned an M.B.A from the University of Michigan.

Leading Clinical Researcher and Physician Educator

Dr. Boyd is an Assistant Professor of Facial Plastic Surgery in both the University of Michigan’s Departments of Dermatology and Otolaryngology.  He trains physicians in the latest procedures and lectures throughout the United States and abroad.  He has published book chapters and peer-reviewed articles in medical journals.

As a result of his ongoing clinical research and teaching, Dr. Boyd evaluates many emerging technologies and brings the latest and best innovations to patients.

Passionate Volunteer

Every year, Dr. Boyd volunteers his surgical expertise in Kenya with World Medical Missions and Bethany Kids, performing cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries on children. This year Dr. Boyd and his team have performed surgery on over 100 children with congenital anomalies

Dr. Boyd loves spending time with his wife and his five daughters.
