Spider Vein Treatments

The Boyd Cosmetic Surgical Institute offers multiple treatments for spider and varicose veins. Our laser treatment is designed to precisely treat visible vessels, broken capillaries, spider veins, vascular lesions, and discoloration of the skin. This laser treats all skin types, and great results are seen on the face, neck, chest and legs. Unwanted blemishes and vessels are heated by the laser’s energy, noticeably minimizing flaws and imperfections while treating only the affected areas. Typically one or two treatments are required and results can be seen in 3-4 weeks. Treatment time varies between 15 and 25 minutes, depending on the size of the area treated.

For more prominent spider and varicose veins on the legs, the Boyd Cosmetic Surgical Institute also offers sclerotherapy, an injectable treatment that offers patients instant improvement in vein appearance with full results in 3-5 treatment sessions. While there is no down time with sclerotherapy treatments, it is recommended that strenuous physical activity be limited for the first few days following treatment and the patient also wear compression stockings for 7 days after the procedure.
